GUWAHATI, Sept 13 - A condolence meeting was held yesterday in the Assam Tribune complex here to mourn the death of Deben Deka, an office peon of�the Tribune Group, who passed away on Friday.
The meeting was presided over by the president of the Assam Tribune Employees� Union (ATEU), Siba Prasad Deka.
Employees of the Assam Tribune Group of Publications and friends of Deka deeply mourned his demise and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Addressing the condolence meeting, general secretary of the Union Jiten Kalita remembered Deka�s journey and as a member of the organisation.
Former general secretary ATEU Dugdharam Kalita and member Jitumoni Goswami also spoke on the occasion.All members of the establishment observed a minute�s silence in memory of Deka and extended their sympathies to the bereaved family.
