At least 12 from State clear Civil Services exam

GUWAHATI, May 31 - At least 12 candidates from Assam have cleared the Indian Civil Services (Mains) Examinations, 2016, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Chief adviser of the All Assam Students Union (AASU), Samujjal Bhattacharya said that according to information available with the students� body, those who cleared the examination from Assam are Kapinjal Kishore Sarma, Dipankar Gogoi, Tapan Deka, Yashodhara Das, Dipjyoti Das, Mamoni Doley, Abhijit Pegu, Bidisha Chintey, Dipankar Nath, Seuj Saikia, Bandana Deuri and Manoj Swargiary.

The AASU has congratulated the successful candidates and hoped that they would be able to do their best as administrative officers in the interest of Assam. He also said that the success of the candidates would encourage other students from the State to appear in the civil services examinations in the days to come.
