AT EduFair gets under way in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, May 16 - The prestigious two-day Assam Tribune EduFair got underway on Monday at DHS Kanoi College here with the participation of some of the leading reputed universities and educational institutes of the country.

The annual EduFair, which has carved a niche for itself, has been offering students the opportunity to find their choice of study from among the diverse courses. The event like every other year has been bringing leading educational institutes of the country to interact and discuss one-to-one with students and parents of the region regarding scholarships, placement, fees and likewise.

Tata Institute of Social Science with number of vocational courses, particularly in Agriculture subject, is taking part in the Fair here for the first time. Some of the institutes taking part in the Fair include Royal Group of Institutions, Lovely Professional University, Amity University, Mody University, Institute of Engineering and Management, Chandigarh University, PEWS Group of Institutions, ICFAI University (Sikkim), JIS University (Kolkata) and Parul University.

Some of the study options on offer are horticulture, agriculture, biotech, management, engineering, technical, medical, tourism, mechanical, information technology, journalism and mass communication, among others.

Students and parents were particularly seen browsing career options in engineering, medical, technical and management courses. The EduFair has been jointly sponsored by The Assam Tribune Group and Oil India Limited (OIL).
