GUWAHATI, Nov 20 - The India Postal Payments Bank (IPPB) has launched assisted Jeevan Pramaan/ Digital Life Certificate (DLC) collection services for pensioners under EPS, 1995 in India, a press release issued by the Regional Office, EPFO, Guwahati stated.
The IPPB has enabled this service across the national network of its post offices and also at the doorstep of the pensioner, through the Postmen/Grameen Dak Sevaks.
Pensioners can visit the nearest Post Office or call the Postman/Dak Sevaks at home for DLC service. A fee of Rs 70 (inclusive of taxes) per transaction will be charged which has to be paid by the pensioner to the Postman/Daksevaks or Post Office at the time of submission of Jeevan Pramaan Patra. Moreover, the pensioners can also submit their Life Certificate/Jeevan Pramaan Patra online through JPP (Jeevan Pramaan Portal). More than three lakh CSC (Common Service Centres) all over India are authorised for online submission of Life Certificate/Jeevan Pramaan Patra in respect of pensioners. The pensioners can now submit their life certificate/Jeevan Pramaan Patra online either through Post Office, or through CSC (Common Service Centre), or through bank and EPFO office, the release added.
