IMPHAL, May 17 � The wife of the assaulted SI of police has demanded action against Manipur Speaker Th Lokeshore who watched silently and did not stop when his escort members assaulted her husband. This demand was made by Bandana Arambam, wife of the victim in this incident.
Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, Bandana, wife of SI Amitabh Arambam, further said that her husband was attacked by the escort personnel right before her eyes and in front of their kids. He was hit with gun butts and canes on various parts of his body.
She strongly condemned Speaker Th Lokeshor as he just watched the attack instead of interfering in the incident and later sped away from the scene. Bandana alleged that her husband was attacked though he introduced himself as a Manipur Police officer.
