HAILAKANDI, Jan 4 - The members of the Hailakandi district unit of Sadou Asom Zilla Prasashan Karmachari Santha (SAZPKS) have protested the assault on three employees of DC office working in Circuit House allegedly by Hailakandi�s AIUDF MLA Anwar Hussain Laskar.
The three grade-four district administration employees � Bijoy Kumar Singha, Amrit Lama and Animesh Das � submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner alleging the misbehaviour, assault and use of unparliamentarily words. The copies of the letter have also been given to the Speaker of the Assembly, Chief Minister and the central committee of SAZPKS.
All the three employees alleged that on December 30 night, the MLA came to the Circuit House with Karimganj MP Radheshyam Biswas and pressurised them to open the room number-1 of the Circuit House. When they refused to open it without the permission of higher authorities, MLA Laskar started abusing them and threatened them of dire consequences.
The employees informed the Deputy Commissioner about the issue over telephone, following which the DC sent an official team to take the situation under control.
MLA Laskar, on the other hand, later apologised to the three employees in a tripartite meeting held at DC�s office on Tuesday.
