Assamese community in Mumbai makes Hindi short film

GUWAHATI, Sept 20 - The Assamese community in Mumbai is producing a Hindi short film titled Justice, shooting for which is going on in various locations in and around Mumbai, stated a press release issued here.

The MNB Film Productions group recently held a mahurat ceremony at the Assam Bhawan in Vashi area of Mumbai.

The film is being directed by Afjol Ali. The assistant director is Kumar Chandra Narayan Deb, Tirap Simanta Medhi is in charge of camera, the script has been written by Utpal Chowdhury and the film will be jointly produced by Nirmali Kakoti and Anupam Borua.

The artistes include Arif Ali, Anupam Borua, Sayad Afjol Ali, Shyama Prasad Borthakur, Jamir Ali, Rajib Hazarika, Sayad Harun Ali, Sukanya Pathok, Nirmali Kakoti Borua, Utpal Chowdhury, Punom Sharma, Trinayan Hendiq, Ajoy Sharma, Bobby Bordoloi, Sumi Azmi, Prakash Saikia, Shindhu Kashyap Borpuzari and child artiste Anurag Sibam Borua.

Devashish Sharma, joint resident commissioner, Government of Assam, graced the mahurat ceremony as the chief guest, while Binod Mudiar, president of Assam Association, Mumbai; Aparup Borpuzari, vice president of Assam Association; singer Bondona Sharma, and social worker Shyama Prasad Borthakur among others attended the programme.
