GUWAHATI, March 26 - A painting by Assamese artist Sanjoy Das, titled Exuberance, received a �Special Merit Award� in the 10th Annual Abstract Competition at the Lightspacetime Gallery in Los Angeles, California.
The Gallery received entries from 22 countries and 34 states.
Das, from the Hengrabari area in the city, has held several art exhibitions at galleries in Vancouver and his paintings have been widely acclaimed.
Das, an architect by profession who works for the Canadian government, presently resides in Surrey, Vancouver, stated a press release.
