Dispur, Oct.29: An aged woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Goalpara district on Friday.
The woman named Tilottoma Ray, aged 70, was killed by a wild elephant at Korkuchi, Dohela under Dudhnoi Police Station at around 7 AM this morning.
Divisional Forest Officer, Goalpara, Jitendra Kumar informed that the dead body has been taken for post mortem and necessary legal formalities are going on for sanction of ex-gratia to the next of kin of the deceased.
