Two arrested with 30kg cannabis in Cachar

Silchar, July 20: Based on secret inputs, Cachar police arrested two persons and recovered 30kg of ganja on Tuesday.

Cachar SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar informed that the SDPO Lakhipur and staff intercepted two persons carrying three bags at the Dilkhush Ghat and on being searched it was found that the bags contained Ganja(Cannabis) weighing 30kgs. Accordingly, the persons were apprehended.

The arrested persons have been identified as Pradip Namasundra (38yrs) a resident of Tilka Natun Basti in Lakhipur Mukta Mallik (34yrs), a resident of Jiribam in Manipur. Legal action is being taken in this regard, the SP added.
