Dhubri, June 30: A team of Dhubri Childline along with police and VDP on late Tuesday night rescued a 16 years 10 months old girl, who had been trafficked from Paschim Jamuna Gaon area Hojai on 19th June.
The Officials of Childline and police informed that one Azizul Hoque khandakar, S/o: Shah Jalal Khandakar fled with the minor girl from her residence and was trying to forcefully marry her. It was also alleged that the trafficker was also threatening the family of the minor girl that if she did not marry him, he would hand her over for anti-social activities. However, police, VDP and the team of Childline after chasing for more than 48 hours continually succeed in rescuing the minor girl, who has been kept in a child home at Dhubri town.
It has also been informed that within a short time the child will hand over to her parents and Hojai Childline after CWC production.
