Tihu girl enters India Book of Records

Tihu, July 8: Sagarika Goswami, a 21-year-old girl of Nathkuchi (Tihu) and a student of Kumar Bhaskar Barma Sanskrit & Ancient Studies University, Nalbari has bagged a place in the India Book Of Records by playing the role of 11 characters in a short film titled 'Girl Is Gold'.

Inspired by the theme Beti Bachao, Beti Paraho of the central govt and based on the issue of women empowerment, Sagarika wrote, directed, videographed and produced music for the film. Sagarika was also related with the literary and cultural activities since her childhood days. She also won the best Literary Award in her university for the year 2019

She is the daughter of Hemanta Goswami and Anamika Goswami of Nathkuchi. The people of greater Tihu area as well as the district appreciated her achievement.
