Tezpur, June 20: In response to the call of Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for Covid-19 management, employees of Tezpur University have voluntarily contributed One Day's salary to the"Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Assam".
In total the University employees have contributed Rs. 11,34,930/- (Rupees Eleven Lakh thirty four thousand nine hundred and thirty ) to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Assam.
"I hope our modest contribution will help the Govt.of Assam in their unrelenting fight against COVID-19", said Dr. Biren Das,registrar of the University while transferring the amount through online mode.
