Testing, vaccination drive in tea gardens under Aarogya Cha Bagicha concludes in Cachar

Silchar, June 8: A total of 5,820 persons were tested for RAT and 3,529, RTPCR samples were collected during the weeklong drive across tea gardens of Cachar district under Aarogya Cha Baghicha scheme which concluded on Monday.

According to a release issued by the DDIPR Barak Valley, all the total 59 tea gardens were covered under the initiative for active testing and isolation. Out of the total RAT tests, 289 persons were tested positive while the results of the RTPCR tests are yet to be available, sources in the District health Department informed.

Sources further added that some of the COVID-19 positive patients were admitted at the COVID care centre at Chotodudhpatil and also at other isolation facilities in tea gardens. Moreover, sources informed that as many as 1,224 persons were vaccinated during the drive.
