Gossaigaon, March 19: Alongwith the rest of the state, Sri-Krishna Doul Mohotsav was also celebrated at Gossaigaon with great holiness on the 19th.

The devotees from Srimanta Shankardev Sakha Satra, Gossaigaon and other religious Hindu faiths brought-out processions with Krishna Idols on Chariot chanting about Krishna-Radha-Gopis celebrating of Doul-yayra.

They moved round Gossaigaon town with devotional songs and spirituality.The Srimanta Shankardev Sakha Satra doul-yatra street procession was led by Satradhikar, Rachik Aatoi,Manik Chandra Deka,Padmadhar Das,Sankar Chandra Das,Putul Chandra Das.

They termed the Krishna Doul Yatra procession as a sign of brotherhood feelings among all section of people.The day passed off Peacefully with spreading of Colours among the devotees.

Earlier,the devotees both male and female recited a few verses of Kirton-Ghosa's Holi festival.
