Raha , July 2 : In a shocking incident, a son has been taken into custody by the police here for allegedly killing his own mother while she was asleep.
The crime took place at Dhemaji village , Phulaguri under Raha police station on Thursday night. According to information received from police, the son Pallab Saikia (30) strangled his mother Sadhani Saikia (65) to death at around 2 am. The victim was reportedly sleeping on her bed when the son carried out the dastardly act.
Meanwhile , a case has been registered and the accused was arrested by the Raha police.
