SMCH health care workers, family celebrate wedding anniversary of COVID-19 patient

Silchar, July 7: In a heartwarming move, a team of health care workers at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) celebrated the wedding anniversary of a COVID-19 patient under treatment at the hospital.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH and Dr Prasenjit Ghosh, Deputy Superintendent of the hospital informed that 39 year old Mithun Kanti Roy from Dharmanagar of Tripura was admitted to COVID ICU of the hospital on July 2 following fever, cough and difficulty in breathing since last few days.

"COVID pneumonia is improving over the last few days and he is better now. Surprise celebration was arranged by his family and the health workers of SMCH stood with him in his happy moments.. Happy 8th wedding anniversary Mr.Mithun!! Together we can," a tweet from the hospital stated.
