Silchar, Sept 27: The District Sports Association Silchar extended financial assistance to under-19 cricket team member Suraj Yadav who is currently under treatment at a hospital in Patna.
Bijendra Prasad Singh, general secretary of DSA Silchar informed on Monday that Sivlal Yadav, father of Suraj Yadav received a cheque of Rs 5,000, which was given away from the Players Welfare Fund of the sports association.
Three vice presidents of the sports association Ashutosh Roy, Nandadulal Roy and Sujoy Dutta Roy handed over the cheque to Suraj's father.
