Ronghang stresses on implementation of govt schemes

Diphu, Sept 18: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Tuliram Ronghang instated a number of public institutions at Assam Meghalaya border locality since yesterday.


The area which remained negated during UPA regime from any kind of public utility service since independence is now heading towards growth and expansion in rapid strides under BJP rule. Ronghang has announced that a mini stadium cum auditorium was inaugurated at Zirikindeng located within the general area of Amreng close to Meghalaya border today; the area which witnessed border brawl between the two states recently.


Tuliram Ronghang was attended by Horensing Bey Member of Lok Sabha from Diphu, MLA Darsing Ronghang, Bidya Sing Engleng, Rupsing Teron and Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Rina Terangpi, Radip Ronghang, President of BJP West Karbi Anglong and thousands of people of the locality.

Ronghang also laid the foundation stone for construction of a Multi Utility Building at Zirikindeng in a area administered by Socheng Development Block; estimated value of the edifice will be Rs.56.75L, the scheme has 30% Central Government sponsorship canalized from North Eastern Council.


Ronghang took part in the ground breaking ceremony of a Primary Health Centre in the same place for which Rs.1.20 crores have been sanctioned. The Primary Health Centre will be constructed with 30% central government aid funded by North Eastern Council. To improve connectivity of the border area Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council will invite tender for construction of a thirty seven kilometer all weather very soon. This road will connect Kheroni valley with Zirikindeng. This has been announced by Ronghang from his social media page today. He has also informed that this road will be constructed at an estimated amount of Rs.46.17 crore under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.


Ronghang informed in his social media page that Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Mongalsing Timung represented the council in a review meeting of the Government of India Ministry of Jal Shakti at Guwahati on Thursday where Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti was present.


Timung briefed the official delegation on the progress of implementation of flagship programs of the Ministry about Jaal Jeevan Mission, Swaach Bharat Mission, and Prime Minister Krichi Sichai Yogna etc. He also submitted a memorandum to the union minister requesting for implementation of Amreng Irrigation Project for the benefit of the people of Karbi Anglong.
