Guwahati, March 23: A massive fire broke out in Assam's Dibrugarh district in the wee hours of Wednesday. Properties worth crores was devastated in the fire.
According to sources, the fire broke out in New Market area of Dibrugarh town. The fire engulfed several shops and godowns, however, no casualty has been reported.
As per reports over 20 shops have been damaged in the fire. Several fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
State fire services including Oil India Limited (OIL) and Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) were also deployed to douse the massive fire.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
