Jorhat, Aug 10: Jorhat Police on late Monday night caught all the nine minor boys who had reportedly fled from a children's rescue home at Malowali locality here on Monday evening.

A police source stated that all nine boys had been found by the police, which launched a drive to find out the boys after the matter was reported to the Jorhat police. The boys fled by removing the grill of the bathroom, the source said.

The source said that from investigation it was found that a boy from Majuli, who was brought to rescue home about a fortnight ago, instigated the escape and had been allegedly intimidating the other inmates of the home, which included girls.

The source informed that the said boy against whom there were complaints of intimidating other minors could be shifted to the Child Observatory Home at Lichubari here.

It may be mentioned here that the children's home run by a Nagaon-based NGO had witnessed four inmates fleeing the home in June this year, out of which one was found and brought back by police.
