Doomdooma, May 30 : Sensation prevailed at Hukanpukhuri Tea Estate in Tinsukia after a person who was declared dead and cremated arrived at his residence.

According to the information available, one Tarun Bhumij had been missing since May 4 and on May 5 his family filed an FIR at Tinsukia Sadar PS. On May 8 police recovered a dead body at Hukanpukhuri. Kalicharan Bhumij , the brother of missing Tarun Bhumij and his family members identified the body as Tarun Bhumij. Police after autopsy handed over the body to Tarun's family and subsequently the body was cremated and other customary rites (Tiloni) were performed.

On the other hand , police registered a case (No - 627/2021) Under Section - 302 of IPC and arrested eight persons in this connection and sent them to judicial custody. But on May 13, Tarun Bhumij who was already cremated arrived at his residence. Tarun was produced at the court on Saturday and the eight arrested people were released on bail. Tarun informed that as he did not feel comfortable at home he had gone out without informing his family and spent the days at Chandmari Tea Estate.

Now the question is who was that person whose body had already been cremated and for whose fault eight people had to spend a few days in jail on the charge of killing a man who is still alive.
