Diphu, Sept 11: Karbi Anglong District BJP organized a massive rally encompassing a large area of Diphu subdivision here on Friday at Diphu town to mark the positive and encouraging attributions of the recently signed a peace accord between six rebel groups of Karbi Anglong and government of India.
The convention asserted as 'Peace and Development Rally' was largely attended by people from nearby Dhansiri, Singhason and Lumbajong Member of Autonomous Council constituency within the Diphu MLA segment. Tuliram Ronghang Chief of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Horensing Bey Member of Loksabha from Diphu constituency mocked at J I Kathar leader of regional party APHLC allegedly for his rivalry and disagreement of the recently consigned peace accord. Both the leaders condemned J I Kathar for propping up disruptive and conflict-ridden political opinions.
Beside local MLA of Diphu Bidyasing Engleng, MLA of Howraghat and Member of Loksabha from Diphu Horensing Bey, executive members representing Dhansiri, Singhason and Lumbajong Member of Autonomous Council constituencies were present in the meeting. Elected member of Singhason constituency and executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Amarsing Tisso who has remained instrumental in bringing the ultra organizations to mainstream through this accord, put in plain words the positive aspects of the peace accord and assured the massive gathering attended my people of different ethnicity that under BJP rule only peace and development will prevail and every citizen will be integrated in the process. If all goes well Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council administered districts will go for election within first part of 2022 and under all probability, the success story of the peace accord will be one of the issues which the district BJP leadership will bring into play, so it can be expected that more such regional rallies will be organized to keep the cadence upbeat.
Hundreds of political activists from different political parties joined the BJP in the rally. Senior leader of the party welcomed them formally by presenting the party pennant in saffron.
