Hailakandi, Nov 25: The administration of Kolasib district of Mizoram agreed to stop all sorts of construction activities in Haticherra area along Assam-Mizoram border in Hailakandi district. Hailakandi superintendent of police, Gaurav Upadhyay informed that after getting
information regarding fresh construction along Hailakandi-Kolasib border in Haticherra area under Katlicherra Police Station, he alongwith deputy commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha and Divisional Forest Officer Jayanta Deka along with staff went on the construction site and held several rounds of discussion with their counterparts. He said that
Hailakandi administration registered strong objection on the fresh construction activity and asked Mizoram to stop all sorts of construction. Upadhyay said that the Kolasib administration has assured no construction will take place along the border side and advised people engaged in construction activities to withdraw immediately.
