Diphu, Aug 30: A sensational situation prevailed here on Sunday at Ekarajan village of Klurdong area under Bakalia police station in Karbi Anglong district following the murder of a man by his own minor son.
According to reports, one Kamdev Basumatary (45) argued with his teenager son over a minor domestic issue. Later, the argument turned hostile and the minor boy chopped the neck of his father with a machete where Basumatary died on the spot.
The body of the deceased was later recovered and the son was handed over to the police.
