Minister of Education Dr Ranoj Pegu on two-day visit to Barak Valley on Thursday

Silchar, June 9: Minister of Education Dr Ranoj Pegu will be on a two day visit to Barak Valley wherein he would interact with the officials of the District Administration and functionaries of various educational institutions of southern Assam.

According to sources, the Minister will reach Silchar on Wednesday night and halt at the Circuit House. On Thursday morning he is scheduled to meet the Inspector of Schools Cachar and the BEEO of the Education Department. Thereafter, Dr Pegu would visit the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar and subsequently to Silchar Polytechnic and Women's College Silchar. He will also meet the BJP leaders at the district BJP office. Later in the day, the Minister is scheduled to visit AK Chanda Law College and Borkhola Model College.

He will leave for Hailakandi district on the same day, sources said. On Friday, the Minister of Education will hold discussions with the BJP party workers at Hailakandi Circuit House and also meet officials of the District Administration,Principal of Hailakandi Polytechnic and Principal of Model Degree College to review the education scenario of the district and also interact with PWD officials. On the same day, Dr Pegu would reach Karimganj district and visit the academics at Rabindra Sadan Girls College, Karimganj B.Ed. college and Karimganj Polytechnic. He would also meet party workers at Karimganj BJP office.

Moreover, the Minister will visit faculty members at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Degree College. Later, he would leave for Guwahati, sources informed.
