Massive fire engulfs shops in Kokrajhar, property worth over Rs 1 crore damaged

Guwahati, March 13: A massive fire broke out in the market area near the Kokrajhar Railway Station under the Kokrajhar police station of the district on Saturday night at about 10 pm.

Three to four fire tenders were pressed to douse the towering flames.

According to sources over ten shops were completely gutted in the devastating fire.

As per preliminary information, the reason behind the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit, and more than Rs 1 crores of properties were reportedly engulfed in the fire.
