Induction of Congress, ASDC workers to BJP continues

Diphu, Sept 29: Though the final date of Council elections has not been declared yet by the State Election Commission, quitting of party workers from one to another is on the rise in the hill district. Political activists from different parties are seen inducting the Bharatiya Janata in the rallies held in the name of 'Peace and Development Rally'. Basically the rally has been organized in west Karbi Anglong and Karbi Anglong especially in the pocket areas of Congress, Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) and other petite parties.

BJP is organizing Peace Development rallies throughout the districts to showcase the tremendous accomplishment of the September 4 accord signed between center and six militant organizations of Karbi Anglong. In each rally numbers of Congress and other party activists have been joining the BJP abandoning regional parties; today too more than seventy families from Congress and ASDC united with Bharatiya Janata Party in the Peace and Development rally held at Sarupathar chapter, West Karbi Anglong.

Tuliram Ronghang, Chief of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Dr Numal Momin MLA of Bokajan and Deputy Speaker Assam Legislative Assembly, MLA Darsing Ronghang, Rupsing Teron, Bidya Sing Engleng, Longki Timung Speaker of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Ritesh Enghi, Deputy Speaker of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Jagat Sing Engti Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Party leaders welcomed the newcomers in BJP party.
