Raha, June 16 : As a part of the special anti-drug drive, Raha police have seized 30 containers full of heroin from a car on the four- lane highway near Dhaba Highway here and arrested two persons in connection this evening.
The estimated market value of the seized drug is around lakhs of rupees. While stating this Lakshman Kumar Das , officer in-charge, Raha P S said that arrested accused were identified as Anuwar Hussain and Ashikur residents of Salmara village under Kampur Police station.
The crackdown was made by a team of the special anti drugs team , Nagaon and Raha police jointly following a tip-off. The vehicle bearing no AS 02 AB 1903 was also seized by police.
