Hailakandi, July 15: The district administration of Hailakandi on Wednesday sealed some shops and a dhaba in the outskirts of the town for violating COVID-19 protocols and norms during corona curfew.
The officer-in-charge of Hailakandi Sadar police station, Ampee Daulaguphu said that five shops including a dhaba have been sealed for an indefinite period in the Bowerghat area near Hailakandi town in the evening. These shops and dhaba named Marwari Dhaba were found open at 6 pm during the curfew hours.
Daulaguphu informed that a team of Lala circle office led by circle officer Krishna Arjun Barman along with police and CRPF personnel raided the area and sealed these business establishments. The offences will be registered as per the provisions of section 51(b) of Disaster Management Act, 2005 under section 188 and 270 of IPC, official sources said.
