Five Myanmarese nationals detained by Cachar police

Silchar, Oct 23: Cachar Police detained five Myanmarese nationals at Lailapur along the Assam-Mizoram border.

Police informed that among those detained include Thang Khawmpau (21), Khen Khan Kham (19), Pau Hawmliammung (23) Cin Aih, Mang (23) and Pau Biak Muang (19), all residents of Tiddin village in Chin state of Myanmar. As per the preliminary investigation, the five Myanmarese nationals were on their way to Delhi, being accompanied by DimDeihluni, a 19-year-old girl from Mizoram.

On Saturday, Cachar SP Ramandeep Kaur informed that during checking at Lailapur, these Myanmar nationals were found without proper documents and thereafter they were detained and further investigation is in progress.
