Fight against drugs: 58 peddlers arrested, drugs over Rs 8 crore seized by Cachar police since May

Silchar, July 5: Augmenting its fight against drugs, Cachar police arrested 58 peddlers in 28 cases so far since May this year.

On Monday, Cachar SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar informed that as many as 1,19,936 Yaba tablets, 1.821 Kg, 10 gm of brown sugar and 66.88 kg of ganja have been seized.

The total market value of the seized items is estimated to be over Rs 8 crore, the SP added.
