Guwahati, Feb 7: An elderly woman was found dead in her apartment at Kalapahar area in Guwahati.
Police have initiated an investigation and suspected it to be a murder case.
As per reports, the 60-year-old woman who has been identified as Anu Hazarika, lived alone in her apartment at Tara Hira complex for the last five years, after she had lost her husband and son.
Reportedly, police suspect that the murder took place at midnight after which the miscreants looted cash and jewelry. The CCTV cameras were also destroyed.
