Drugs worth Rs 2.5 crores seized at Bokajan

Diphu, Oct 9: On Friday, a team of Bokajan police led by Hohn Das, SDPO, Bokajan, Mwblik Brahma, OC Khakhati , Sub Inspectors Mridul Rudra Paul, Nitul Saikia and staff recovered drugs worth Rs 2.5 crores from a Maruti Suzuki Alto car, police sources said.

According to reports, the car bearing registration No AS-09E/9677 coming from Dimapur was intercepted in front of the Khakhati SBI branch and 64 grams of contraband drugs that concealed in the six soap boxes were recovered by the police team during checking, the sources said.

In this connection one Amosh Tokbi, son of Juwel Tokbi, resident of Shilonijan under Barpathar police station was held, the police sources further mentioned.
