District admin of Hailakandi asks online media to submit details within June 30

The district administration of Hailakandi has asked all kinds of online media to submit their details within June 30 next. The deputy commissioner of Hailakandi, Rohan Kumar Jha informed that the district information and public relations officer has been asked to collect the date on specified format.

Jha said that there are many people in the district who are running news portals , epaper, news apps etc in facebook, YouTube, whatsapp and other social media without any government approval and it is utmost necessary to inform the administration about their activities. He said that the collection of information has already been started from June 23.

Jha said that the information, news, photos and videos uploaded by unauthorised persons or publishers or owners in social media sometimes create serious problems. Many people trust it and share without verifying the it's authenticity, he lamented. Social media news spreads like wildfire and for this these media should be regulated and responsibility may be fixed, he added.

Online news portals, news app owners, publishers have been asked to collect the relevant forms from the Hailakandi District Information and Public Relations Officer's Office, fill them up and submit them by June 30, said DIPRO Sajjadul Haque Choudhury. He said that the forms related to data collection will be available at his office.

All online news portals, epapers, news app owners, publishers in Hailakandi district will have to fill up the form mandatorily and submit it within the stipulated date, he added.
