Diphu, Sept 10: Two retail outlets, grocery and an eating joint owned by Amar Ronghang and Pritty Rongpipi located close to Khorsing Terang Memorial (Children Park) in Diphu town were entirely gutted by fire today evening around 4.00 pm.
The fire is believed to have ignited from mishandling of a gas cylinder; successive explosions of the LPG cylinders blew up the tin roof of the complex and scalded two parked scooters. No one received injury in the incident; two engines of state fire service doused the flame timely before it could engulf nearby areas.
