Dhubri, May 21: Dipankar Mazumder, a youth from Dhubri town area has been going to the remotest part of the district to burst all the myth about the Covid jabs and have started pitching in to create awareness about COVID-19 vaccination process and precautions that needs to be taken to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Mazumder has till now succeeded in pushing dozens of persons including women and senior citizens, to visit different vaccination centers of the district to take their jab. He has been targeting mostly those areas from where not many persons have come out to take vaccines and in those places where multiple 'misconceptions' about the vaccines prevails.

"There are many places in the district where people are either totally ignorant about the vaccinations process or they are scared of taking the vaccines, because of the many rumours and misconceptions about the Covid vaccines, that are circulating around", said Mazumder who comes out of his home early in the morning in his scooter to visit the remotest places of the district, to bust the myths and send people to vaccinate. The voluntary worker has also been helping people in registering themselves for vaccinations. He is also asking the public transportation drivers to take the jab at the earliest possible time.

"Drivers comes in contact with hundreds of passengers every day making him venerable in not only getting infected with the vaccine, but in spreading the viral disease", said Mazumder, who added that if the drivers of commercial transportation are vaccinated at a priority level it will be beneficial in "breaking the chain'.

Meanwhile, this selfless service of Mazumder has been appreciated by many in Dhubri town and many have also come out to join Mazumder in his mission of eradicating corona-virus from the district.
