Silchar, May 26: In a bizarre turn of events, a patient admitted at the COVID-19 ward at Silchar Medical College and Hospital has allegedly fled from the ward on Wednesday.
The incident has triggered curiosity and tension at the same time. Hospital authorities , however, informed that the patient, a resident of Tarapur area of the town, was admitted at the hospital on May 24. A police complaint has been filed in this regard.
Meanwhile, OC Silchar Sadar Ditumoni Goswami informed that the patient has been traced and would be picked up soon.
