Hailakandi, June 10: Commissioner and Secretary of the Border Protection and Development Department GD Tripathi will visit the Assam-Mizoram border in Hailakandi district on Friday to study the present situation of the border. Tripati will also attend a meeting with senior officials of various departments including civil and police administration and forest department on the issue of the protection of state border. It can be mentioned here that the tension mounted in Assam-Mizoram border in Gutguti area of Hailakandi district few days back after the starting of construction of building in Assam area by the Mizos and the burning of two houses at night.
