Silchar, June 24: In a latest development, Cachar district administration held a meeting in-connection with finalization of alignment option under Bharatmala project withNational Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation limited (NHIDCL).
In the meeting presided over by Cachar Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli, MLAs of Silchar, Borkhola and Katigorah Dipayan Chakraborty, Misbahul Islam Laskar and Khalil Uddin Majumder respectively gave necessary suggestions to the representatives of NHIDCL for proper implementation of the proposed project within the stipulated time. They also asked concerned officers to prepare actual field reports with proper justification for affected villages which fall under the irrespective assembly constituencies.
Deputy Commissioner Cachar Keerthi jalli has also participated in the feedback session and after a threadbare discussion she requested the Additional Deputy Commissioner in-charge revenue Cachar Silchar along with concerned officials and the representative of NHIDCL to prepare a joint verification report for implementing the said project within the stipulated time frame.
Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli gave necessary instructions to the NHIDCL officials to prepare video recording from zero point Srikona daily bazar to the end point of Barak bridge near Malua through aerial drone survey of the projected four lane road to overcome any further dispute. However,the Deputy Commissioner said that there is a need for another meeting to approve the proposed DPR if no objection is noticed from any side. Cachar District Development Commissioner Rajib Roy, Additional Deputy CommissionerSadhan Sarkar, Circle officer Silchar Sadar Biswajit Saikia,DFO Cachar Sunnydeo Chowdhury, District Agriculture officer L.I Singh also attended the meeting.
