BSF seized 3420 Yaba tablets at Indo-Bangladesh border

Guwahati, July 4: Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force, foiled the attempt of drugs trafficking at Indo-Bangladesh border and seized 3420 Yaba tablets on 03rd July 2021, from bordering area of village Seoti-II, PS- Sahebganj, Distt- Coochbehar (West Bengal).

Acting on a tip off, on 03rd July 2021 at about 0950 hrs, troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Sabri of 192 Bn BSF carried out a search operation in the general area of village Seoti-II close to Indo-Bangladesh Border. During search alert troops recovered 3420 nos Yaba tablets from the spot. Seized Yaba tablets have been handed over to P.S Sahebganj, Distt- Coochbehar (West Bengal) for further disposal.

Keeping in view of the vulnerability of the border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes including drug trafficking & illegal trans-border crimes and are making all out efforts to prevent commission of such crimes.
