Silchar, Aug 23: In a major breakthrough, the Border Security Force (BSF) seized a consignment of Arms including pistols, magazines at Badarpur station road of Karimganj district.

A release issued from the Public Relations Cell of BSF said that based on secret inputs, a special operation was conducted on Monday by the intelligence team including troops of the 1st battalion of BSF. In the operation along with officials from Badarpur police, the security persons noticed some suspected activities of the two persons in front of PNB Bank near Hanuman Mandir at Station Road at around 11:30 am.

The two suspected persons were intercepted and during the search operation, a black colour bag was found in their possession which contained 4 pistols with four magazines and one Pen Pistol. The two persons identified as Nurul Islam(31) a resident of Patharkandi district and Henow Liang Khiamn (22 yrs), a resident of Eheleshang Colony Old Medical- 'A' Ward- 9, Tuensang Town, in Nagaland.

The release further informed that the apprehended youths along with seized items have been handed over to Badarpur Police for further legal action as per the law of the land.
