Baksa youth makes it to Assam Book of Records

Mushalpur, June 12: Jyotish Sarania ,son of Deben Sarania and Bimala Sarania of Barimakha in Baksa and a teacher of Nalbari Namati ME School has been able to register his name in the Assam Book of Records by stitching Srimanta Sankardeva's immortal poem Karatala kamala ,kamala dala nayana on a gamocha with needle and thread.

After obtaining a diploma in Fine Arts from Boidyashri Music College he was associated with picture painting. Besides, he was skilled in needle work also. After obtaining a Master's Degree from T.T. College Rangia he qualified in TET and was appointed at Nalbari Namati ME School as an assistant teacher .Before joining the present school Jyotish Sarania had taught in another school where the students presented him a phulam gamocha on his farewell function.


He wanted to keep the memory of the students alive in his memory. As he was deeply influenced by the life philosophy of Srimanta Sankardeva he decided to stitch his immortal poem in the phulam gamocha. He did it within twenty four hours. Later, when his artistic works were sent to Assam Book of Records the artist was given due recognition. Inspired by his own success at registering his name at state level Jyotish is eying for the next level , that is to record his name in the India Book of Records.
