Guwahati, April 26: An Assam Police constable has been arrested, along with two others, in the case of abduction of three ONGC personnel by banned ULFA(I) in Sivsagar district on April 21.
DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has confirmed arrest of Basanta Buragohain, a constable of 25th AP (ONGC) Bn.
Two others, Biraj Chetia and Rahul Mohan, have also been arrested.
Meanwhile, efforts were on to rescue the third abducted ONGC employee. The other two kidnapped personnel were rescued from Mon district of Nagaland last week.
