Guwahati, May 5: Woman cop from Nagaon, Junmoni Rabha who is serving as a sub-inspector in Nagaon district of Assam has arrested her fiancé Rana Pogag on fraud charges.
As per reports, the accused Pogag has introduced himself as a public relations officer of the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) to Rabha.
Last year in October, Rabha and Rana got engaged and was about to get married in November this year.
However, Rabha came across several evidences which raised her doubt over her fiancé. It later came to light that he was involved in several fraud cases and was alleged to be involved in duping many people for crores of rupees.
After learning of the alleged crime committed by her fiancé, Rabha lodged an FIR against him, following which he was arrested.
As per police officials, several objectionable documents were recovered from his possession including fake documents from ONGC.
