Hailakandi, Jan 6: 16 jawans of Border Security Force (BSF) in Dohalia camp of Patharkandi circle in Karimgnaj district have been found COVID-19 positive today. The district programme manager of NHM in Karimganj, Hanif Mohammed informed that all the infected jawans have been shifted to COVID ward of Civil Hospital.
He said that they are investigating the reason of spread of infection in the BSF camp. He said that 1053 people were tested today in Karimganj district and of them, 21 were found positive.
At present 46 active COVID-19 infected patients are undergoing treatment in the COVID ward of Civil hospital.
