Guwahati, Nov 10: An Air India flight (AI 754) that took off from Silchar this morning had to make an emergency landing after it developed some technical snag.

Official sources said that the Kolkata bound flight with 144 passengers on board was forced to land immediately after take-off after a snag was noticed in one of its rear wheels.

"Immediately after it took off, the captain felt some technical snag and decided to make emergency landing. The aircraft landed safely and no harm is caused to any passengers," AAI official told The Assam Tribune.

"The flight is yet to make its departure and the technical snag is being addressed to," an official said.
