Hailakandi, Oct 9: On the eve of the Saradiya Durgotsav, an unique programme Agomani Adda (chat) was organised jointly in Hailakandi on Saturday by Esho Boli, an organisation working on the art of speaking and Dreams, socio-cultural organisation. The topic of Adda was "modernisation of Durga idol". The unique adda was attended by cultural activists, academics, journalists, artists and people from different walks of life.

It was inaugurated by the President of Barak Upatyaka Banga Sahitya Sanskriti Sanmilan, Nitish Bhattacharjee. The chat was conducted by the president of Esho Boli, Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta.

Besides, some of the members performed songs, dances, read out self composed poems etc. Performance of "Dhunuchi" nritya by the members of Esho Boli was the main attraction in the programme. A budding painter Narayan Das drew a picture of Durga idol on one side of the stage during the chat.

Sharad Memorial Award was handed over to Nitish Bhattacharjee, President of Dreams Gautam Gupta and Narayan Das on behalf of Eso Bali.
