Jorhat, June 25: Police seized 40 kgs of suspected ganja (Cannabis) from the house of Rajesh Sarkar at Sakalani Pathar area on the Pulibor outskirts here on late Thursday night.
A police source stated that acting on a specific information a police team from the Pulibor Police Station raided the house of Sarkar and found the narcotic substance kept hidden in the room where prayers are offered.
Sarkar, who has been arrested has been booked under relevant Sections of NDPS Act, the source said.
