Jorhat, June 23: The death of four more persons due to COVID-19 raised the total number of cumulative COVID deaths in Jorhat district to 206.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman informed that Aijoni Bordoloi (F, 85) of Na Ali Dhekiajuli, Jorhat, Krishna Saikia (Male, 62) of Kawoimari Gohain Gaon, Jorhat, Sajal Das (M, 40) of Royal Road, Jorhat and Susen Saikia (M, 91) of Randhonijan Malowpathar, Jorhat died due to COVID.
Barman stated that altogether 148 people were found positive in Jorhat district on Tuesday thereby increasing the total number of cumulative positive cases to 22515.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that total number of active cases in the district was 2038 while the number of discharged after recovery was 20199 in the district on Tuesday.
